Hello, my name is Joshua Langley, and I’m the Founder of Langley Professional Solutions. Like everyone, my path has been filled with unforgettable memories, tough lessons, and moments that defined who I am today. The struggles I’ve overcome have equipped me with the resilience, tenacity, and perspective to guide others on their journeys. For me, the turning point came in my early 20s, when I discovered my passion for helping people grow. At first, it was through designing top-tier training and development programs for businesses. But as I worked with students and colleagues, I realized it wasn’t just the training I loved—it was the transformation.

 

Watching someone unlock their potential, achieve a promotion, or simply believe in themselves for the first time gave me a sense of purpose like no other.

Hearing people say, “You’re the reason I’m here,” or “You inspired me to reach for more,” felt like being a proud parent all over again. Those moments fueled my desire to help others achieve success they once thought impossible. But while I was content, I wasn’t growing the way I wanted. Something was missing, and I realized I needed to take a leap.

I found that leap by joining the United States Army. After completing basic, Airborne, and advanced individual training, I joined an Airborne unit - jumping out of planes and seizing every opportunity for growth. I earned my bachelor’s degree in business and was preparing to submit my Officer Candidate School packet when life threw me a curveball. An accident during a jump changed everything. In a moment, my plans for a long military career were gone. I faced surgery and, ultimately, medical retirement.

During a time when the future felt uncertain, I faced the challenge of reimagining and potentially altering the plans I had held for so many years. Instead of letting obstacles define me, I chose to press forward and continue investing in my growth. I enrolled in a graduate program to pursue a Master of Education in Educational Technology and Instructional Design (K-12 and Adult)—a decision that reflects my unwavering commitment to relentless growth and mastering the art of Training and Development. This path allows me to deepen my expertise and expand my ability to create impactful learning experiences, paving the way for even greater contributions to the field.

My retirement date was official, and it was a devastating blow, but it forced me to adapt and grow in ways I never imagined. I had to rebalance, reassess, and embrace the unknown. I learned to approach life from every angle, preparing for the worst while working toward the best. And one truth became crystal clear: hope alone doesn’t get things done. It’s a motivator, but action is the driving force behind success.

This mindset has shaped everything I do. I know firsthand how tough life’s challenges can be—and I also know how to overcome them. If you’re ready to take charge of your journey, I am here to help.
